My Speaking Events

Following my resignation in 2003, I spoke at university campuses and church halls from U.C. Berkeley to West Point.  In October 2004 I toured with "Diplomats and Military Commanders for Change."   From September 5 through October 26, 2006 I crossed the U.S.  to promote Diplomacy Lessons. I've lectured in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Greece, and Brazil.

Send me an email or call +30 210-322-7463 (Greece, GMT+2) if your organization would like an honest, informed view of U.S. foreign policy and the role of diplomacy.  I draw a good crowd and the questions go on for hours afterwards.  I'm delighted to give aspiring candidates for the Foreign Service a pep-talk on diplomacy as a vital and (when U.S. policy permits, as it often does) satisfying career.  Below is a partial list of upcoming and past talks.
